Karen Campbell is a substitute teacher at Broomfield Academy. She received her Bachelor's degree in Human Nutrition from Colorado State University and a post-baccalaureate elementary teaching license from the University of Northern Colorado. Karen taught fifth grade in an elementary school in Denver Public Schools for three years. She has also worked as an outdoor education guide and teacher for many years in a variety of settings and places including California, Alaska and Hawaii. Karen’s passion is to positively and effectively influence young people and light a fire for knowledge in them. In her free time, Karen loves spending time with friends and family, particularly her beautiful niece. She also loves to be outside hiking, biking, camping or just reading a book in the sun!
